DESCRIPTION:Save the date and start planning your entry into the Light Up the Night "lighted people parade" and Holiday Beach Party at Lake Sammamish State Park\, 5:00pm   6:30 p.m. on Sunday\, December 1st.\n\n\n\nThe parade will be made up of people who come wearing their finest holiday lights. Led by Santa and his reindeer courtesy of Cougar Mountain Zoo. Hoop Smiles and his LED Hula Hoops will bring up the rear.\n\n\n\n"With battery operated LED lights\, and twinkling sweaters and hats\, we anticipate people will get creative and have fun\," said Jennifer Adut\, executive director of the Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park. The parade will be led by a giant snowman.\n\n\n\nDecorated wagons\, strollers\, tricycles and more are also encouraged. The prize will be for the most creatively lit participants is an up close and personal visit with a reindeer! The parade will begin at the Sunset Beach parking lot\, proceed on the entry road and loop around the playground and past the bathhouse.\n\n\n\nThere will be festive entertainment by The Liberty High School Jazz Choir and Joyas Mestizas with the music\, dance and regional costuming of Mexico.  Concessions will be available.\n\n\n\nBonfires on the beach will take away the chill. Bring your own marshmallows and roasting sticks if you'd like. You may also want to bring a beach chair to sit under the stars and appreciate the holiday lights visible at homes around the lake. Event sponsors include Cougar Mountain Zoo\, Puget Sound Energy and Just for Them Gift Baskets.\n\n\n\nLight Up the Night is free and open to the public\, courtesy of the Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park.\n\n\n\nRegister FREE at Eventbrite.com and your email will be included in our raffle to win a holiday gift basket.
