Make sure you stop by to visit the temporary sculpture exhibit “Art in the Park”, featuring 10 local artists from August 12 at Lake Sammamish State Park.
Ten artists were selected by a jury panel in June. Some of the submissions were of existing work while others were uniquely created for this exhibit. The sculptures represent diverse styles and incorporate a variety of materials including wood, tiles, fiber, and steel.
Artists include Grayson Morris, Abigail Kinney, Ed McCarthy, EmmEmm and Alexis Kandra, Jacob Foran, Nina Vichayapai, Ken and Naoko Morisawa, Haiying Wu, Lucirlei De Andrade, and Tina Hays.
To view the art, visit the park any day, dawn to dusk. The expo will be set up in the area around the Kitchen Shelter.
A daily parking fee of $10 is required, or an annual Discover Pass. Discover Passes can be purchased at www.discoverpass.wa.gov
The exhibit is generously sponsored by the City of Issaquah Arts Commission, Banner Bank, Miriam, and Jon Friedman, Downtown Issaquah Association, and Regency Centers.
