This urban park offers a wide assortment of birds and habitats in its varied ecosystems. The walk is 2 to 3 miles. It can be an enjoyable walk for teens as well as adults. Dress appropriately (rainproof in layers; some of the trails can be very muddy if wet).
We meet at the main entrance from NW Sammamish Road on the south end of the lake. Inside the main entrance, take the first left into the large parking lot and meet at the northeast end before 8 a.m.
Walk is free. A Discover Pass is required to park. (Available at discoverpass.wa.gov and sporting goods stores that sell fishing or hunting licenses.)
No pre-registration required. Co-leaders: Sharon Aagaard (425-891-3460) and Stan Wood.
