Join Museum Director Erica Maniez for a guided walk in Issaquah’s Hillside Cemetery. You’ll hear stories about Hillside Cemetery, the lives of some of those buried there, and what life was like in small-town Issaquah during the 1900s.
Hillside Cemetery in Downtown Issaquah was originally used by the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) and was later deeded to the City by the IOOF.
The earliest burials at Hillside date back to 1890. Over the years, Hillside Cemetery has become the final resting place for nearly 4,000 people. Many of Hillside’s current residents died too young, in mining accidents or epidemics or in childbirth. Others celebrated long lives, leaving memories and descendants.
Participants are limited to 20 people, so don’t wait to purchase your tickets!
Flashlights welcome, but no headlamps, please!
