The Downtown Issaquah Association is excited to announce Confluence Jazz. This event will feature local and internationally renowned jazz artists bringing together a diverse audience for a one-of-a-kind event at Confluence Park in beautiful downtown Issaquah.
“Issaquah has become an eastside musical hub” said Gaila Gutierrez, Administrative Manager, Downtown Issaquah Association, “with all the live music we have in our downtown district, this is just another way for us to continue the momentum. The Jazz music genre originated in the United States; this event celebrates the importance of Jazz as part of American and universal culture, plus it creates an opportunity for the community to congregate and enjoy a fun day in the park”.
According to Lloyd Chisholm, an Issaquah resident and musician headlining this event, Jazz is one of the only art forms that is a personification of democracy, meaning it’s spontaneous improvisation on a group level where every members’ input is as important as the next.
Jazz enthusiast or not, this is sure to be an amazing day of music as we close out summer.
Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy this FREE outdoor concert in the park. Rogue Brewhouse will host a beer & brat garden and the event will also include art and food vendor(s), a kid’s activity zone and vendors.
