May Brings Flowers -- and Downtown Issaquah’s Wine & ArtWalk
“Wine is the only artwork you can drink."
Rouse your friends and embark on a wine adventure of Issaquah's Historically Hip downtown during the Downtown Issaquah Association (DIA) Spring Wine & Artwalk May 2.
DIA partners with Seattle Uncorked to create an experience to remember with some of Washington's finest wine producers happy to share their craft.
“This is one of Downtown Issaquah’s most anticipated events,” said DIA President Christina Bruning. “Front Street and our businesses become art galleries and honorary sommeliers for the evening, assisted by more than a dozen wine producers and as many local artisans.”
For years DIA has paired wine and art, as has been tradition in myriad artworks throughout history, from ancient murals of bacchanals to medieval harvest tapestries to modern still lifes. Downtown Issaquah takes its pairings seriously, mashing the talents of local visual artists and artisans with the state’s best vintners twice each year.
