Are you looking for something special for the whole family to do during the holiday season? Join us at the Issaquah Depot for the Santa Trolley and a Hands-on History Day! Your visit will include a vintage trolley ride with Santa Claus, who will be on hand to hear your special holiday requests. Bring your camera to capture the moment! The Issaquah History Museums also invite parents and caregivers to drop in with their children for a hands-on exploration of holiday celebrations in Issaquah during the Great Depression. Participants will discuss celebrations, decorations, and what life was like in Issaquah during harder times. Kids will look at a variety of Depression-era tin can ornament from the Museums’ collection, and use paper to create their own “tin” ornaments. Parents and guardians are welcome to participate or merely observe from a distance while drinking a cup of fresh coffee, tea, apple cider or hot chocolate. Both the Depot Play Date and Trolley rides are free with Museum admission ($5 per person; IHM members and those under 2 get in free).
