We'd like to invite YOU, our local community members, to participate in the first Harvest Issaquah Committee Meeting, where we will discuss the Harvest Issaquah program, share ideas, and gather input from people who are interested in participating.
Harvest Issaquah is a program run by the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank, where we connect with local gardeners and "back yard chicken farmers" who are interested in donating a portion of their crop to providing quality produce and eggs to people who otherwise might not have the opportunity to have such things in their refrigerators.
We will discuss the kind of produce we are looking for, growing seasons/produce availability, determining interest and developing community engagement, and volunteer coordination/ Harvest Parties. We expect the meeting to take about an hour of your time.
Interested? RSVP! Know someone else who may be interested? Invite them! Want to know more but can't attend? Send a private message to Marissa Woerner, who will be glad to share meeting notes, marketing tools and produce availability sheets with you.
We hope to see you there!
