Eastside Baby Corner’s (EBC’s) ninth annual Helping Kids THRIVE Luncheon will be on Friday, November 2nd, 2018 at noon at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue. This is EBC’s only fundraising event and this year the theme is “Under My Umbrella.” Join with others who want to make a difference in their community. Working together, we can shelter kids under our umbrella, giving them what they need to thrive.
The keynote speaker for the luncheon this year is Luis Ortega. Luis is a TEDx Speaker, storyteller, artist, social entrepreneur and found and director of Storytellers for Change. Over the last thirteen years, Luis has worked with organizations, school districts, foundations and universities to help them apply storytelling as a strategic approach to build more inclusive and equitable programs and systems. Some of his work has included developing youth leadership programs for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, establishing the Leadership Without Borders Center at the University of Washington.
This event is free to attend and open to the public, but reservations are required. Reservations for EBC’s ninth annual Helping Kids THRIVE Luncheon can be made directly on EBC’s website at www.babycorner.org/helping-kids-thrive-luncheon.
