You're invited to the John L. Scott Event: Recycle | Reuse | Remodel | Real Estate to recycle materials from remodeling projects, clothing, specialty textiles, and household items.
Saturday, July 25 | 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. | 1700 NW Gilman Blvd | Issaquah
We're partnering with Habitat for Humanity, Small Threads for Kids, Rag Mine Clothing Recycle, Recology, and One Green Planet to collect and repurpose the items.
Below is a list of household item categories we'll be collecting. I'll be sharing more information and helpful reminders in the weekly emails leading up to the event.
- Household Textiles: Clothing, shoes, bedspreads, sheets, drapes, quilts, towels, curtains, sleeping bags, etc.
- Reusable Remodeling Project Items: Lighting/bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinets, doors, windows, lumber, tools, tile.
- Household Items: Small appliances, furniture.
- Household Batteries: Lithium ion and nickel cadmium batteries. Each end of each battery must be taped with clear shipping tape. Limit 1/4 gallon per drop-off.
- Household Electronics: Computers, printers, monitors, keyboards, remote controls, cell phones, etc.
- Housewares: Appliances, sewing machines, vacuums, hair dryers, meal pots, etc.
- Electronic Medical Devices: BIPAP/CPAP Machines, electric toothbrushes, etc.
All textiles will be recycled or donated to local charitable organizations while the reusable household items will be resold by Habitat for Humanity, non-working items will be managed by One Green Planet.
