Kiwanis Club of Issaquah, AAUW- Issaquah branch, and the Issaquah Cable TV Commission will co-host a Candidate Forum for state legislative candidates in the 5th and 41st districts, 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26 in the City Council Chambers. The forum is open to the public.
The forum will first have all candidates answering prepared questions, and some submitted by the public. The candidates will also have an opportunity to ask each other the last question.
Candidates from the 5th District will face off at 6 p.m. They include Bill Ramos and Chad Magandanz for position 1, and Paul Graves and Lisa Callan for position 2. Candidates from the 41st District include Tim Cruickshank and Tana Senn for position 1, and Michael Appleby and My-Lihn Thai for position 2. Their portion of the forum will begin at 7 p.m.
The forum will be moderated by Debbie Berto, retired publisher of the former Issaquah Press, and Judy Rogers, a member of both Kiwanis and AAUW.
Candidate questions for consideration may be emailed by Sept. 24 to ICTV@issaquahwa.gov, or submitted in writing during the forum. Include your name and district you reside in.
The forum will be repeated daily on Issaquah’s Channel 21 until the Nov. 6 election.
