Issaquah Community Services: The blanket of white in December followed by the nonstop pattering of rain in February has left Issaquah Community Services facing a large increase in the number of residents in the Issaquah School District seeking emergency help with their rent and utilities. Similar to the situation we faced during the February 2019 snowstorm a number of residents at businesses shut down by the inclement weather could not work. In other cases, residents had to stay home with children that could not go to schools that were closed. The February sheets of rain and gusty winds have been particularly hard on apartment residents in the heart of Issaquah and many families have had to relocate to temporary locations while their homes are renovated. After a disappointing Merry Christmas Drive this year our funds are being hard hit by deserving clients who have never had to seek help before. Please consider sending a donation to Issaquah Community Services, PO Box 669, Issaquah, WA 98029 or donate on our website: issaquahcommunityservices.com Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank needs: toiletries, size 6 diapers and cleaning supplies |
