Unleash zombie chaos on Front Street at the dead crawl. READ MORE
This year marks the 10th Annual Issaquah Zombie Walk. Founded by 5 local Issaquah families, The Gotuzzos, The Kovacs, The Henrys, The Munsons and The Dinkels, as a way to enjoy beautiful historic downtown Issaquah in the fall. Issaquah Zombie Walk has now grown to thousands coming from far and near to enjoy the event over the years. The entire community of all ages is invited to dress up as Zombies or spectate as all will congregate at the Historic Shell Station, crawl along Front Street to City Hall and then dance to Michael Jackson’s THRILLER and the Rocky Horror’s TIME WARP songs on Saturday, October 26th.
“It’s great to see such a large participation of spectators and Zombies crawl around downtown Issaquah. It’s a thrilling community event to celebrate with family and friends new and old in our 10th year, which is sponsored by local businesses with prizes, Zombie themed specials in restaurants, bars and shops. It’s a free even and everyone is welcome.” Said Tom Gotuzzo, Issaquah Zombie Walk founder.
The un-dead will begin to congregate at the historic downtown Issaquah Shell Station (232 Front Street) at 1:30 pm for make-up, practice the Thriller and Time Warp dances, connect with friends and make new ones. The official Zombie Walk starts at 4:30 pm when the zombies devote 30 minutes to attracting the attention of motorists, diners and passers-by on Front Street. Then at 5:00 pm the Zombies will take over City Hall just east of Front street, and dance to Thriller and Time Warp songs and more new songs this year - on the City Hall steps. The event is free, open to all ages and zombies of all skill levels.
The Glass House Studio in Issaquah will offer FREE THRILLER and TIME WARP dance classes Fridays (4:30-5:30PM) and Saturdays (9-10AM) at their dance studio at 3310 East Lake Sammamish Parkway SE. These classes will be hosted by professional dance instructors.
Prizes will be awarded for best adult, child and family costumes. So, start planning your best zombie threads now!
