DESCRIPTION:To celebrate Public Works Week\, the City invites you and your family to join us for an action-packed event for all ages!\n\n \n\nLearn how traffic lights work\, take a tour\, climb in a snowplow\, and so much more! Activities include:\n\n\n\nFacility tour\n\nEver wondered what happens at a city's public works shop? Take a tour to learn about all the department functions. Staff will be available for questions and kids can fill out a scavenger hunt for prizes!\n\nTouch-a-Truck\n\nThe City will have multiple large vehicles open for residents to explore\, with staff onsite to help answer questions.\n\nStations\n\nLearn more about water quality and adopting a water drain near your home\, projects our engineers are developing\, as well as our Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) and Emergency Operations Center.\n\nDemonstrations\n\nLearn about traffic lights\, see how a fire hydrant works\, browse the inside of CCTV van with all the screens and see video within stormwater pipes\, and see how snow plows are coordinated during a snow event!
